"Do the things that bring you joy."
That is the challenge, for we are so often told that we should only do that which brings us joy.
But life is about more than just joy, it would seem. Work is work.
Perhaps it's better to view it as, "Do everything with joy, in the LORD."
For true joy is not the fickle, fleeting joy that comes from within, but rather that joy which comes to us from the only true source, the Triune God.
Then we can endeavor to approach the tasks for all our vocations in light of that extrinsic joy, thereby deriving internal joy and satisfaction.
